I was surprised to hear something on 171 too. And there was a good het at
the same time on 153, presumed Algeria, so the best path apparently was from
that general direction. The A&K indices haven't been all that low either,
though the 198 DIW,NC NDB is strong this evening, indicating good eastward
conditions.

Amazing, Steve. I was looking for a 1215 carrier this evening during the
brief period that there's a darkness path, and not a peep, not even using
Spectran.
