Re: [IRCA] [NRC-AM] KIWA NO-NO?
Did you wipe it back off? It sounds like you may have needed a little lubrication, De-oxit is for tarnished (oxidized) components. You may want to go to Rat Shack and buy some tuner cleaner and spray it in the control hopefully displacing the De-oxit. Even WD-40 would be better. (Yes I know, but it is good in a pinch)

Subject: [NRC-AM] KIWA NO-NO?
I have a Kiwa air core loop and the antenna matching knob has gotten noisy to the point that it is virtually useless on the high end. I therefore put a droplet of Deoxit in it. The good news is that it is now very clean. The bad news is that it seems to have shorted out; there is no amplification anywhere on the band. What's next?
