According to the book, "Radio Happy Isles: Media and Politics at Play in
the Pacific" by Robert Seward, Micronesia Heatwave went off the air in the
late 90's. That's the only reference I've seen confirming that the
station is silent. I never saw its demise mentioned in DX publications.
A Google search produces all sorts of stale listings that make it sound
like the station is still active, even though it's been dark for a decade
or more.

I believe 1557 Heatwave is gone. I tried to contact them a couple years
ago and no listing for them. Someone told me they were silent. I had
sent a couple snail mail reports to him, but never got a reply. I used
to catch them on occasion after 0800 or 0900 UTC. They played non stop
pops, but the night I caught them well, they were taking dedications to
listeners.
