It made NBC Nightly News - they had a live Q&A with KFOR-TV's helicopter pilot as he was in the air over one of the fires.
He apparently was having trouble hearing Brian Williams at first, as there was a long pause when he was first introduced, and you could hear the producer yelling in his headset, "Go! Go!"
