I am sure I would. I guess with a notebook, I could drive somewhere to

You can get 3G or EV-DO from cell phone towers at your house. Nothing
is powered. It comes in on a dongle antenna. You plug it into the
side of your computer in the USB port. There is no additional noise.
If you run the netbook computer on battery, you have NO noise.
You can get a USB dongle or a BT dongle for the USB and use a
keyboard from across the room if you plug a monitor into the netbook.
Once you do this, you will wonder why you hadn't done it sooner.
You can buy a $500 laptop and do all the same stuff without the USB
dongles.
Like I said, do 3G or EV-DO and you have no noise with it. It just
costs a little more but works fine.
