[IRCA] TP for 24 Mar from Victoria, BC
A little more DU action this morning, but generally not very exciting, with
things fading out quickly after 1400UT. Listened primarily at 1300 and 1350UT,
with another quick check at 1415. The list is more impressive than it looks, as
most of these were heard for very short periods at the stated levels; conditions
were even more erratic than usual.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
774 JOUB at 1311UT
828 JOBB at 1305, with possibly DU audio some ways under
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or
noise):
594 JOAK
747 JOIB
1053 the 100Hz hummer peaked at 1358UT, still no sign of any other audio
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
567 JOIK //594 at 1354
873 JOGB //828 at 1301
1575 possibly VoA at 1356
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
612 likely 4QR at 1414UT; most other stuff was gone by now
648 something in a DU direction at 1353; whatever it was would have been good DX
702 at 1358, likely 2BL by direction
972 likely HLCA with usual big carrier
1134 JJ inflected talk?...JOQR if so
1287 also JJ inflected talk, JOHR likely
1512 also DU direction, 2RN?
1566 never living up to its strong carrier
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 279 at
1305UT (is R. Rossii here signing off earlier now? usually heard audio before
with this much carrier), 621 DU, 1098DU
best wishes,
Nick
