[IRCA] TP for 7 Mar from Victoria, BC
Not an earth-shattering morning (like many others)....Listened from 1420 to 1440UT, and although there were good signals at times from the usuals, there wasn't a lot from others. Plenty of carriers as usual, but most nowhere near audio, and most of the weaker stations' audio only came up very briefly.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
594 JOAK
774 JOUB
828 JOBB
1575 VoA w/ SE Asian talk; this isn't often this strong
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):
747 JOIB
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
279 likely R. Rossii w/jazz
972 likely HLCA
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
558 Japan? Korea?
567 JOIK //594
1242 possibly Japan?
1287 likely JOHR
1386 seemed //747, so NHK2 synchros?
1422 too murky to guess at language. JORF?
1566 likely HLAZ at 1445UT, big carrier
1593 seemed //5030, so CNR-1
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 954, 1008, 1044, 1098 DU, 1134, 1314
best wishes,
Nick
