[IRCA] New Woodbridge, VA/Washington, DC AM Signal Coming Soon...
And it is WURA 920, licensed to Quantico, Virginia
It will have 7 KW Day with an almost all NE pattern and 2 towers by day and
970 Watts with an all SE pattern and 3 towers at night.
WURA is diplexing off the WPWC 1480 towers on Mine Road, just outside the
eastern edge of Prince William Forest Park and north of the Quantico
national Cemetary and Frest Greens Golf lClub, JUST west of I95 in Dumfries,
VA which is 5 miles NW of Quantico.
The phasor is in the process of being delivered to the WPWC site, and I
believe a transmtiter is on the way too, if it isn't already there.
I think we have some DX'ers in the Washington area, don't we? It'd be nice
if they could monitor 920 down there, or possibly take some pictures at the
site.
