[IRCA] This day in radio history



On the way into work this morning, WWJ 950 Detroit reported that on this day 
in 1910, Lee De Forest (inventor of the vacuum tube) had transmitted the 
singing of Enrico Caruso.

I should comment that although the above is true, compared to the article on 
Wikipedia, it shows that he had broadcast part of a live performance of 
(Puccini's opera) Tosca on the day before, January 12, 1910.
