I have something similar. Mine is called a Greenlee Cablecaster. It looks like a cross between a dart gun and a fishing reel. It was actually designed for electricians who need to pull wire long distances above suspended ceilings etc. You aim it, pull the trigger, and it shoots a dart attached to 50 feet of monofilament line. You then attach the wire to the dart, and reel it back in. I've had it for a couple of years but never actually used it to put out an antenna. I did make a few practice runs at Grayland by aiming it over some small trees, and it worked quite well.

As I recall, I paid about $50 at Lowe's, but it should be available in other places.
