Re: [IRCA] UNID on 1370 kHz
To Dave and the group:
Thank you for all your help. If I can get up early enough on Saturday
morning, I'm going to try again, but there is nothing in the NRC AM Logbook
that nails it.
WBTN in Vermont has a local program with Rich Ryder on at that time.
WVMR in West Virginia is non-commercial and they carry some NPR programs but
no website. Doesn't explain the New York City/Boston accent either.
World Radio Network carries Radio Nederland (Netherlands in English tho they
usually ID this way) but not at that time, and all of the WRN stations in
the U.S. are on the FM band. The RNW website no lists their affiliates (that
I could see anyway).
I suspect that this may have been someone's low power radio transmitter
rebroadcasting from a satellite feed or internet connection and I just
happened to hear it.
I'll keep you posted should I hear this again. Thanks again and 73

Troy, MI
P. S. About ten years ago I heard an unlicensed FM broadcast in my area and
about a year ago, I finally saw the FCC action against the operator posted
on the web.
