Listened from  1357-1453 utc.  Conditions down with the strongest signal
being fair at best.  Nick's suggestion of midwinter "anomaly" seems to be on 
track.  

153          RUSSIA, 1401 weak but steady signal with man in Russian.
189          RUSSIA, 1402 weak but steady sigall with man in Russsian.
234          RUSSIA, 1403 just below threshold audio.
279          RUSSIA, 1404 weak with man in Russian.
648          RUSSIA, 1405 VoR fair at times with man in Korean.
666          JAPAN, JOBK 1408 threshold audio with splatter.
774          JAPAN, JOUB  1357 Fair to weak with woman/man in Japanese.
828          JAPAN, JOBB 1409 weak with woman in Japanese.
873          JAPAN, JOGB 1410 surprised to hear this Southern Japanese station
                with conditions being poor this morning.  Weak with woman in Japanese.
1377        CHINA, CRN1 1420 with man in Chinese and weak signal.
1566        REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ strong carrier weak audio with woman in
                Chinese?
1575        THAILAND, VOA 1415 fair with man in Asian language.
