It's interesting how well JOUB comes in. JOIB 747 is further north and gets dark earlier at this time of year, yet JOUB often fades in first and with more strength. Neither JOUB's location (Akita), nor JOIB's (Sapporo) are on the Pacific coast, in fact both are much closer to the Sea of Japan, but perhaps JOUB's transmitter site has better ground conductivity.
Obviously a research trip to Japan is in order.
Tonight, JOUB's fade in strength hasn't been as good as the last couple of nights, and had strong carriers on 738 and 1017, so Asiatic conditions not quite as good?
best wishes,
Nick
