[IRCA] Alberta TPs for 2 Nov 2008

A good morning, as  noted by Dennis.  In southern Alberta at least the 
focus was on Japan again (with a few interesting exceptions).   The 
Japanese big guns were at amazing levels this morning, especially 594 
and 693.   At its peak Japan on 594 was splattering Spokane on 590, and 
the usual IBOC hash from KOJM 610 was completely buried.   Heard audio 
from Japan on 531, 567,585, 639, 666, 693, 702, 729, 747, 774, 828, 873, 
1071, 1134, 1179, and 1242.   The only definite Chinese heard was on 
1206, and the only Koreans were the regulars on 972 and 1566.  Russia 
was in on 648, and in fact for a while I was hearing 2 stations there.  
Logged Family Radio from Taiwan on 1557 for the first time this season. 
 Was hoping the weak audio I noted on 738 would also be from Taiwan, 
but the few words I could manage to hear sounded more Russian than 
Chinese, so that one will remain a mystery.  Also a mystery was some 
brief audio I noted on 1467, not a frequency I'm used to hearing 
anything on.   Nice the hear the high end of the band showing a bit more 
life.
