[IRCA] Loggings On 1140 (Canada and an UN'ID Spanish!)

8:20pm to 8:30pm

1140Khz... heard what sounded like an American "oldies" followed by a male
artist and a female artist saying "Thanks for listening to The Heart of The
South", but I didn't catch any Station Call Letters or Slogan. I've heard
mainly english songs, but some of them are of an AC or Classic Rock variety,
and I've since heard two annoucnements in spanish and now a spanish song is
playing.

I know NOTHING about spanish radio nor do I even understand it. What station
did I log?

Also, on 1140Khz, I heard a mention of "Saturday afternoons at 1pm" and
there was a mention of radio27.com several times. When I went to the
website, it made mentions of Central and Southern Alberta. That would be
CFXL 1140 Calgary, Alberta with 50KW Day from one tower and 46KW Night from
4 towers beaming Northwest

By the way, for anyone interested, I'm using a $10-bought-at-Walmart-
Dynamax Boombox!
