[IRCA] TPs for 27Sep08 from Victoria: So-so
OK, I monitored between 13:09 and now (still listening to a 8+ signal from 4QR on 612 at 14:20). Things began very slow. Wall to wall "almost" audios or weak audios....5 or 6, but frustratingly few useable audio signals. The best seemed to be from Korea this morning. Mostly only the lower half of the band only. After dawn, there was a noticeable enhancement from Australia...something not heard much this season. SF 68, A3, and K0. Here's what I heard (assume a 6 unless otherwise noted):
279 at 8 level at 13:58 (which is unusual....they usually fade out early).
531, 558
567: JOIK at 9 level
576: 6 early, then a nice 8 signal at 14:07 from 2RN
594: JOAK at only 8
612: 9 level from 4QR at 14:02 and continuing past 14:24
621: 3RN at 7 level late.
639, 648, 657, 666, 675
702: 7 level at 14:12
711: HLKA at 8 level
720: 719.9 at 5 from N. Korea
738
747: JOIB at 9 early and still at 14:13.
756: 7
765: 7 (North Korea)
774: 9 level for JOUB, and cochannel with 3L0 at 14:15
792
801: 7 level prob KTWG at 13:46
819: 7 level. Not sure who....neither CNR1 nor N. Korea
828: JOBB and cochannel at 13:43 at 8 level.
837, 846 (late)
855: 7 level. Strong carrier, weak modulation from N. Korea
873, 936
945: CNR1 at 7 level.
963: 8 level from CRI in Russian. Still an 8 at 14:17.
972: 9 level HLCA at 13:36 with a cochannel.
999: someone here easily heard under local KOMO on 1000 at 7 level.
1008
1017: CRI KK at 13:30 at 8 level
1098: Big OC today
1107, 1134, 1278, 1323, 1332, 1512
1566: HLAZ at 7
1575: VOA Thailand at 7
That's it for today. Good DX to all!.........Walt
PS: Last night was a reasonably good TA night with several audios, with 1215 being the strongest (at least later in the evening), and most channels having a het (although mostly weak ones).
