[IRCA] TP for 17 Aug from Victoria, BC
Listened from 1215 to 1255UT, mostly Asian again at least for the big signals, and better than yesterday. For the first time, 972 delivered good audio, not surprisingly, as the carrier from it was immense, probably the strongest of any of the 9 kHz channels. Also had reasonably good audio from 1566.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
747 at 1243UT
774 at 1242 and others, at one point heard audio under this, but too weak to ID language (3LO?)
972 at 1216 and 1232UT, over 34 dB signal to splatter ratio at times
reasonable audios (though often battling w/splash or noise):
828 at various times
1566 at 1231UT, just after the pattern change to Japan
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
189 //234
234 (big carrier)
567 DU talk at 1250UT
882 music at 1240UT briefly; DU per the loop
963 the Chinese with RR talk
Burbles in the splatter and noise:

576 DU at 1236
603 DU briefly at 1252
612 DU 1254
693 JJ //774 at 1248, first of the season
702 big mess of signals, DU/Asia at 1239, maybe Japan in there?
756 DU at 1240UT
855 talk buried under the hum likely N. Korea
864 at 1236; messy, possibly KK talk?
873 //828 at 1246
936 possibly CC talk at 1237, pretty murky though
1053 finally heard the Korean jammer at 1228UT; big carrier, but little audio
1116 DU talk at 1250
1134 lots of carrier, barely there audio, not sure who, but Asian
1287 several times w/talk and mx
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): (Asian unless noted) 738 (DU), 1044, 1098 (DU)
