[IRCA] TPs from Orcas: August 1

Things were much reduced from yesterday, but not horrible. From the early upload by Walt Salmaniw, I'd say that the relationship between his location/antennas and mine is back to normal. He hears DU a bit better usually and I hear JJ and China a bit better.

DXed from 1220 until 1250, just after dawn. The JJs made their appearance, a bit later than I expected (1230) and were brief and weak. I did have 747//774//828 but all were 6s, really. Later, I think that 774 (which stayed around some) was DU.

The Kiwi's outdid the Aussies, this AM, with the real star being 756, running at 7 throughout the morning, with peaks to 8. 675 did better than usual, too.

With the exception of those two, peaks were brief.

Threshold level unless noted:

531
576
585 seemed // 576 late (1243) Must be 7RN @6-
612
675 Did well from 1230 7s
621 @6 late
747//774//828 Briefly @1230. All Poor
756 7s all AM, peaks to 8
765 Better than usual. ^ with a few peaks to 7
882 Lite orchestral briefly at dawn. Likely Southern Star, Auckland.
891 a few peaks to 7
1107
1098 Massive OC around dawn
1566 Very undermodulated 6 at peaks after 1230

The Aussies arrived later than the Kiwi's as has been the pattern lately...

I'll miss these DUs when they are totally gone, but BRING ON THE ASIANS!
