[IRCA] Bay Area visit
Despite having both the Grundig G5 and Big House ultralight with me, I got
in very little DXing during my visit to the Bay Area last week, other than a
daytime bandscan from San Ramon (see below).
I visited Alcatraz, with the SRF-39 FP, but during my time on "the Rock" I
didn`t use it for anything other than the local stations, i.e. listening to
Jim Rome on the bogus `KNBR`` that is actually KTCT-1050. For some pictures

picture of the headphone jacks for in-cell radio (according to the tour
guide, prisoners only had a choice of 2 stations), and the guard's control
room with what looks like a Hammarlund or Hallicrafters receiver.
