[IRCA] One Night DXpedition to Westport, WA
Hello All,
Although most of the beachfront motels were booked solid this weekend,
fellow Puyallup, WA resident Guy Atkins and I managed to reserve a room in
Westport for a one-night Ultralight DXpedition, early Sunday morning. We hope
that there may still be some decent DX this season on the ocean beach,
especially from the DU direction.
For spotting receivers, Guy plans to take his Perseus or E1, and I plan
to take the new 19.5" loopstick ICF-2010. The search for Ultralight targets
should be well organized, hi. Stock SRF-T615's, E100's and SRF-39FP's
should provide some fun if the conditions are good, but if not, the "Super Prison
Radios" (14" and 20" loopsticks) will be standing by.
Should the DX fail to show up as hoped, maybe we can use the time
discussing how to create the ultimate hot-rodded Ultralight portable (a subject
of great interest to both of us, hi).
73,
Gary DeBock
