CHOU-1450 Montreal Quebec has applied to the CRTC to increase its
power from 1kW-U to 2kW-U:

Application by 9015-2018 Québec inc. relating to the licence of the
commercial
ethnic AM radio programming undertaking CHOU Montréal, Quebec.
The licensee proposes to change the authorized contours by increasing
the day-time
and night-time transmitter power from 1,000 watts to 2,000 watts.
The licensee advises that the proposed changes will improve the
reception of its
signal downtown Montréal as well as on the south shore where their
signal is almost
non-existent.

Interesting to see this in light of my comments last week
about there only being two graveyarders left in Canada that
operate above 1kW:)
