FOR MR. NEW AND OTHERS WHO MAY HAVE MISSED THIS THE FIRST TIME THAT I
SENT IT OUT:
If you wish to to have a logging(s) considered for a particular
Record or First with an UltraLight receiver, please submit them in an
e-mail that is specific for that purpose and has some title similar
to " Submission for UltraLight Record." I don't read every e-mail
that is uploaded to IRCA's list (sorry :>) and I may miss your
request unless it is titled someway to give me a clue. These
submissions may be uploaded to the IRCA mailing list or e-mailed
directly to me at bjohnorcas@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
For each submission, please give the usual details AND include your
name, location (town and province/state,) the receiver used AND
whether it was used Barefoot or in the Super Modified category. If
your submission is to be considered for a Distance Record, please
include the distance.
Please note that the only receptions that may be considered for
Records and "Firsts" are those completed with one of the UltraLight
radio models certified by the UltraLight Radio Technical Committee.
Until about February 1, 2008, this will be limited to Sony SRF-59s.
Receptions made with certified ultralight radio models other than the
SRF-59 will be considered, no matter what the date of the reception,
as soon as the certification process is complete.
As yet, there are no standards for the Super Modified category. All
Certified Radios that are connected to an antenna, whether directly
or inductively and all that have been modified in any mechanical or
electronic way would also be considered as being in the Super
Modified category for the purposes of Records and Firsts.
There are a number of categories that have no listed record
holder. If you've got a qualified logging, you could be the record
holder, until superceded. Please let me know these important bits of
UltraLight history!
