Excellent article, Gil!!! And the illustrations are truly worth1000
words. One thing that you didn't mention (or maybe I missed) is how
the outboard ferrite bar affects the vaunted nulling ability of the
'59. Better, worse, the same? I'm sure it would be an intuitive
judgement at this point, but whadda ya think.
That article just has to get some of our other "handy" folks to
work. Speaking of getting to work, in the Super-Modified category,
there are all sorts of Firsts and Records yet to be established. How
'bout some submissions???????
You mentioned getting the vhigh Q tuning capacitor from "Bill
Turner's site," but didn't give a URL. I googled Bill Turner and
ferrite and got lots of references to him, but no website. Could you
give us the URL, please, and maybe append it to the article??
