My ultra-local KFAN-1130 is S-4 with no antenna, but maybe S-9 + 80 db with 8" Quantum loop. The E1 meter goes only to S-9 + 60, but I can turn RF gain way down & still get S-9 + 60. KFAN drives loop into distortion if RF gain is past 9 o'clock. KFAN is about 10 miles from me, but probably has equivalent of 200 kw in my direction. 73, George S., MN

Don't recall noticing this when I had one here, Bruce, but perhaps
some of the many owners of the E1 on the list could relate their experiences?
