[IRCA] Grundig G5

I didn't get enough Hanukkah gelt to afford an Eton E1 (without an internal
ferrit stick, don't think I would want one anyway), but for CA$ 149 am now
the owner of a Grundig G5, aka Eton E5. This baby rocks! I give it an edge
over my YB400, though as a serious AM DX machine, nothing beats the
legendary RF-2200. It's quite a bit smaller than the YB400, so it's going
with me on road trips, and even to ball games. So far I've only used it on
AC, but I don't think it will be such a battery-guzzler like the YB400, as
it only uses 4 AA's and can recharge NiMH batteries internally. Also has a
line-out jack for taping..something missing on the YB400. There are _700_
station memories! I don't think I will ever get to use them all. But the
memories do not seem very intuitive. It takes several keystrokes to access
each "page". Might be easier and quicker to just punch in the frequency you
want, than try to remember which pre-set "page" it's stored on. A couple
other minor negatives: the cabinet and the carrying case have kind of a
rubbery feel. And the clock does not display the seconds.
