Thx for asking Dennis,

I have one which was a Christmas present one year. All
this talk of the Sony Walkmans got me interested in it
and have listened to it a few times this week.

I have not tested it extensively, but it does a
surprisingly good job of picking up "some" distant
stations, both AM and FM. The downsides are: #1 the
tuning dial is very small and sometimes difficult to
manuever, #2 image rejection is not the best as I
heard a Radio Canada shortwave broadcast on 1414 kHz.

The receiver also includes shortwave bands and is able
to pick up most of the major stations transmitting
from North America. 

Not an extensive review, but that's been my short
experience with it.  --- Hope this helps.
