     When you finally track down an SRF-59, I strongly  recommend that you 
upgrade from the supplied ear buds to at least a fixed set of  foam-covered 
stereo headphones, which are much more comfortable and convenient  (especially 
when you are urgently grabbing your SRF-59, as a TP is booming in on  your other 
radio).  Such headphones are only about $3.00 at Fred  Meyer.
 
     Also, for those curious about the appearance of  the SRF-59's reviewer, 
Colin has kindly posted a bio and pic at the  end of the review (which I hope
