Since there seems to be some confusion about the nature of the code
(tone frequency, speed) sent during this test, I thought it would be
useful to post a clip that you folks out west can use for comparison
to what you heard:

It sounds very close to 1 kHz to me, and maybe 10 wpm or so. There
are also some sweeps at the end of the clip.
