Listened from about 1440 through 1520UT this morning. Low band was
in pretty good shape; in fact the propagation monitor says that 594
was the strongest it has been this season, at 1436UT, but it was
pretty darn good around 1516UT also. Interestingly, there was
another station mixing with JOAK-594 at that time, tentatively the S.
Korean, possibly parallel to 756, but just couldn't nail it down
before everything collapsed. The upper band was never anything like
as lively as the lower band however.
Asian unless indicated otherwise:
Darn good audio, if briefly: 594, 747 later on
Reasonable audio (though often battling w/splash): 639 CNR1 and
someone else, 774, 828, 873 (NHK2; unusual to have it this
strong), 945 two stations, both unID,
Not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 279,
567 JOIK, sometimes fading above this level, 585 NHK1
Burbles in the splatter: 549, 558, 612 DU, 666, 675, 702, 738, 756,
963, 972, 981, 1044, 1134, 1242, 1287, 1386
strong carrier, no audio: 621, 918, 936
best wishes,
Nick
