Re: [IRCA] Sony SRF-59 Review

$20 in a walk in store can be cheaper than $14-15 and shipping. Circuit
City has both the digital readout SRF-M35V-$36 and the anlalog 59-$20. I
didn't see them at the local Best Buy. An ebay seller has the rebuilt by
Sony 35V cheaper, but by the time you pay shipping, it's within $4-5 of the
price at CC and the one at CC comes with a year warranty. The rebuilt has a
90 day warranty by Sony. The 35V is more sensitivie compared with my older
M78 and it does as CCrane state suffer overload from nearby stations.
However, I get nasty splatter from the same stations on my R8's 10 kHz
either side of freq. On the M35V, I hear a couple of locals 10 khz +/- with
a little splatter 20 kHz either side of the two, but the towers are less
than 2 miles away.
