Ironically, I have never participated in a beer-based DXer get-together.
Legend has it, Walt Salmaniw hosted some gab-fests at the local
Oak Bay Rec Center that has a fabulous upper lounge over-looking
the Pool area and the Curling rink.
Problem is - once you take notice of the YL's and XYL's in
Bikini on the pool deck... and then start drinking beer,
radio is the last thing you want to talk about.

Still, I would be up for Beer as opposed to coffee
sometimes... keeping in mind that the average
dxer gets a little chippy and boastful after the
first 2 Canadian lagers (twice as strong as that
Deer water you call Beer south o' the border!)

Picture if you would a table full of middle-aged
dudes pushing and shoving each other over
a disputed QSL card!

It aint pretty,
