One other option for charging is the Volkswagen solar battery chargers that
are dash installed when  VWs are  transported from Germany to the U.S.  They
show up for auction regularly  on that well known auction spot in
cyberspace.  Some QRP ops use them to trickle charge their rigs' batteries
during the daylight.
