1287 JJ
1548 4QD
1566 HLAZ not very strong this am, cochannel DU
1575 VOA at 8 to 9, with cochannel under
1593
1638 weak audio
1701 weak audio
There were plenty of other audios not recorded on my list, as well as the SDR-IQ to review still....hence the big gaps. I tended to ignore the spectrum which the SDR was recording.
Several comments on the WinRadio 313e after using it as my primary receiver. 2 things I DO NOT like about it, making it difficult to use as a rapid response receiver (I'm used to my AOR 7030+ which is lightning fast in popping from frequency to frequency):
No Hot Keys. I'd die for hot keys for USB/LSB/AM and AMS. Why the heck aren't there any????
The memory channels, which I spent all of last evening inputing are reset to 0 as soon as one off tunes the frequency. DUMB! My 7030+ does not do this. I off set my memory channels listening for a het, and then zero in. In the present config, I have to remember the memory channel and re-input them into the memory channel box and press enter....I don't like it one bit. Further, I'd love a hot key to advance or reverse the memory channels instead of having to have the cursor over the forward and reverse keys.
To be honest, the SDR-IQ is easier to operate, at least in the 190 kHz spectrum range for popping back and forth between frequencies, although I must admit, I do like the 4 VFOs on the WinRadio. I'm really hoping that I've missed something on the WinRadio and that one of you (ie John!!!) might enlighten me into it's ways. Has this been discussed on the WinRadio group? Although a member, I see rare if any postings from this group it seems.
All in all, a superb morning for DU. I didn't mention that often the audio quality from the DUs were at a 9 level. Loved it! A rarity it seems around here.........Walt.
PS: One more morning to DX and it's home tomorrow.
PS2: No TA activity here...must be a dead zone.
