Hi Bill-
Your lucky, if that is your only station getting globbered. Here I have lost
a huge hunk of the AM band. From 1090 all the way to 1220. Nothing but
hisssss! 690 to 780 is nothing but solid hiss.
On the local area radio stations, WGOW-1150 is trashed by IBOC from
WRVA-1140, and WFLI-1070 is trashed by IBOC from WTIC-1080.
On Saturday nights I use to listen to KMOX-1120 from 2200 to 0300 because I
liked their programing, not anymore!
Even WOAI-1200 is gone because of hiss. I no longer get to hear news from my
home state. This includes WBAP-820, which is trashed from WGY-810 and
WCCO-830, and WCCO is trashed from IBOC from WHAS-1140 and etc.
And the last straw is that WSB-750 is trashing CHWO-740; also WJR-760 who is
alos being trashed by WABC-770 who is trashing WBBM-780 and killing any
chance of hearing "ole time radio" programs. And on it goes. Only 1400 to
1490 range do I not hear any hiss, but that could be because of all the QRM
that is normally there.
I admire you for trying, by writing to the stations, won't change a thing. I
am not against IBOC or anything that might make the band better. Just keep
it from destroying stations around you. Keep your digital signal to within
the 10Kc bandwith you have been alloted.
