[IRCA] HD update

Well after playing around with the filters on the R8 and passband
tuning, I have found I can get rid of a lot of the hash in most cases.
Even in the case of KFBK's on 1540. 1520 is not nearly as bad for some
reason tonight, but 1540 is rough, but narrowing the bandwidth to 1.8
khz and running in USB, moving the signal on 1540 over closer to 1530, I
can rid myself of a big chunk of the hash. I even did that with super
strong KGO and it works. I can hear 500w KPDQ on 800, not great but I
can hear it. So this is progress. The issues with the flea signal TPs &
DUs that are on the splits, you don't have enough signal to move it over
a kHz or two, the signal is out of range being weak. However I still
have the wild card of waiting until LSR in CA and I do have a window a
bit longer. But there is a catch. As it gets closer to Winter the
overall signal of stations like KGO will get stronger, so after LSR the
station will not fade down into the mud.
I don't notice HD on KEX 1190 tonight, nor HD on KSL-1160. Now that
is a surprise, as our tour last month the CE was ready to turn it on
Sept 14th. I expected it at Midnight.
By the way the audio issue on KGO has been solved apparently as the
Gene Burns Show sounds normal. I do notice a much sharper signal on KGO
now, not the bandwidth (slop) I used to get, but the hash is more of an
issue.
