This is the week for Mongolia on LW, as heard again this morning. 164 the
first to be heard, poor/weak at 1244 utc, with 209 following several minutes
later at 1252 utc. These continued to be heard for the next 15 minutes or
so.
There is also a domestic NDB TWEB, 209 AEC in Warm Springs, Nevada that is
heard often, and when it's weak it takes some careful listening to make sure
I'm not confusing it with the weak Mongolian reception. The TWEB has a
synthesized man's voice with lots of numbers included in the weather
announcement. AEC was strong this morning, but eventually faded out and was
replaced by Mongolia.
1566 HLAZ is not heard all that often here, but this week it's been fairly
good at 1230 utc when it switches the antenna, and was heard again for about
2 minutes this morning right at 1230-1232 utc, with the (now) familiar theme
song. Lots of MW hets but weaker today, with 828 producing occasional audio.
Far East Russian LWBC not so strong this morning, but had 153, 171, 180,
189, 234, 279.
Toward the end of the session, 639 presumed Fiji had a brief fadeup to weak
level with island-type music, then the announcer in some foreign language
then into more music at 1331 utc. 774 with DU talk, 792 with DU talk, 1116
with the usual 4BC's talk ending the session at 1339 utc.
