[IRCA] KIDD and KHTK
630 KIDD Monterey, CA is usually around 629.997 kHz.
This morning 09/12/07 at 1030 PDT / 1730 UTC, I measured
them as 630.00000 kHz. By 1117/1817 they had returned
to 629.99712. Possibly KIDD was testing an IBOC exciter
without actually using IBOC.
1140 KHTK Sacramento, CA was on 1140.00000 kHz in late
August. I didn't hear them using IBOC, but I hope they tried
it and didn't like it. After about a week they returned to their
usual frequency of about 1139.998 kHz.
These days, finding a station operating precisely on their assigned
frequency can be bad news for DXers.
