[IRCA] DX-Sat 9/8/07 SF CA

Listened from about 1315-1345 today 9/8...Conditions seemed better today
than yesterday.  Was greeted by nice signal from 774 JOUB with man/woman
in JJ.  Up to 828 found another good signal seperating from 830.  Was
here at 1320 when woman said 'NHK  JOBB ......'.  I had forgotten that
NHK stations gave calls at 20 past the hour.  Been a long time since the
halcyon days of the late 70s :-).

These two stayed in quite nicely through 1345 but 774 was buried by KCBC
at 1345 when they upped power & turned on their IBOC.  828 however was
still in fairly well after 1345.

Audio also noted on JOUB 873 around 1335 altho, very weak and barely
above the noise level.  Recognized the NHK-2 programming.  On 657 just
before 1330 the North Korean surfaced with a woman talking and came in
fairly well for a spell.

I'm unable to dx 594 as I get nasty QRN from 670 on down when looping
NE.  Especially terrible on 594.  I've forgotten about 693.  I will have
to try for them in the future.  Tried 1566 at 1345-50 but I guess too
late.

Had someone on 650 under/thru KSTE around 1325-1335 playing a mix of
music.
At 1328-"He Needeth Me" a Christian song followed by 1331 "Monday,
Monday" by the Mama's & Papa's.  No ID between.  Manti UT should have
been gone by then so seems to be between the Vancouver area station or
Honolulu.  No sign of KGU on 760 when I checked.

Hopefully, it'll continue to get better.
