[IRCA] TP--Fri 9/7/07

Recovery period often has me up at this hour so listened from about
1255-1345 this morning, 9/07/07.....Only checked band from 620-972....A
few interesting things heard:

639...Fairly loud het beaming SW noted beating against KFI. No audio

690...Someone mixing with CBU/XETRA with local programming & pop music.
IDed 'Leaving Louisiana In the Broad Daylight' by The Oak Ridge
Boys...Most likely KRCO Prineville as it was getting on past 1320.

702...Fairly decent het here against Monterey County station. Looped SW

720...Someone far under KDWN but looped more N/NE....Could be Eleele but
more likely Sweet River OR.

729...Weak het beaming SW but Vancouver on 730 with a better signal than
usual.

738...Usual het beating against KCBS....looping SW...

760....Station carrying religion with fairly decent signal 1325 cutting
up KFMB. Didn't get ID but highly suspect this was rarely heard
KGU-Honolulu...

774....JOUB Fair/poor signal at 1255 tune in...Pips noted at
1300...Stayed in pretty much til I packed it in at 1345 but signal never
was too strong. KCBC-770 was causing a lot of QRM.

792....Very weak het noted, beaming NW

828....JOBB with loud (as usual) het against KNCO-830 but this time with
some playing around on my part I pulled audio in using the USB filter.
NHK-2 program, same as JOUB & 873....man/woman talking in Japanese.
Signal was the best of the three by 1340

837....very weak het beaming NW

873....NHK-2 program just above noise level, noted around 1335. Years
ago this would have been JOGB, that still it?

891....Decent het here, looping NW

972....Good het here, looping NW
