[IRCA] Re IRCA 41-7-9 1150 to 104.7

Any AM station switching to FM must be diong so for economic or practical reasons or both as it seems to be less expensive to operate an FM transmitter because of high costs for equipment maintenance or high costs in renting land for towers, etc.,and maybe setting up on an existing FM tower, eliminating the cost of building a new one and finding a location for same.If they're doing music they might want to go stereo and improve the audio. Some obvious reasons. Many small market stations are going to FM in Canada, leaving the regional freqs less cluttered. There is usually a 3 month simulcast after FM is started before the AM shuts down for license release.Have I missed anything?--Bill in BC
