Dennis, I was wondering about the frequency. I think you said it was 1056.
I have been following this station since 1975 when I first heard it
while I was living in Korea. There were on 1050 then, if memory serves
me. The transmitter is on the West Coast of North Korea in Haeju. The
station's name has changed several times, but it always has been
pretending to be broadcasting from South Korea even though it is
anti-South. Thus it is called a clandestine station.
I have located several of the South Korean jammers, and I have some
pictures of one of the jammer sights somewhere in the dozens of boxes of
pictures I have taken over the years.
I have seen as many as three carriers on 1053 right at my local sunrise
a couple of times. It is a good bet I had them along with the South
Korean jammers.
