Thanks Gary for submitting your bandscan. If you are four miles south
of the Port of Tacoma, you are closer to or just about the same
distance from KHHO-850 and KKOL-1300 as I am, the difference being
that their fat lobes have me in mind, not you.
I don't get:
560 KPQ (too much KVI)
590 KUGN (mixing garbage)
810 KTBI (too much KGNW)
900 KKRT
940 anything (KJR slop)
960 anything (KJR slop)
1200 CJRJ (KWMG splatter)
1280 KIT (I get KLDY)
1370 KAST (KKMO slop - 1 mile away)
1390 KJOX
1510 carrier
However, other than these, I get the others on your list plus:
1280 KLDY (I don't understand how you miss them)
1500 McChord TIS
1520 Gig Harbor HAR (new bridge)
1650 Kent TIS
840 and 860 are obliterated by KHHO IBOC; 1200 does not seem to be
affected by KEX's, but KWMG's slop may kill that. On the DX398 it
sounds like KIXI IBOC noise on 870 but not 890 so I'm not sure what's
happening there. I guess we will find out on September 14.
This morning we had a power outage so I hied it to the dials at 0645
local to see what KKMO-1360's absence would bring: KAST-1370 ( was
looking for KWNC), KUIK-1360 and nothing readable on 1350 due to
garbage from nearby KKOL-1300. It's hard to believe KKMO doesn't have
a standby generator but I'll take it, I'll take it!
