The question still is "Does this added pick up from the coax affect an
antenna's pattern?  In the case of Craig's loops, it did. But how about
beverages, EWEs, etc? How much does the extra pick up add to the
pattern? In the case of taking the R8 out to the antenna input and
comparing S Meter readings, I saw little or no difference, but there
could have easily been some difference in patterns that I missed, rather
than changes in
 signal levels. But cutting down on stray signals will help I am sure.
