Yeah, that's going to be a world of ugly, alright. The new KPIG night 
signal will have to be VERY directional, as long as it still has to 
protect first-adjacent KSJX 1500 only 40 miles or so to the south and 
second-adjacent KTOB 1490 even closer in to the northwest.

At the same time, there's essentially no limit on how much power they 
can pack into that narrow westward beam, since there's nothing at all on 
1510 that needs protecting to the west (not even Hawaii, which has been 
a limitation for other CA stations like KRLA 870 that have tried to do 
the "dump all the signal over the ocean" trick!)

Will they manage to do a full 50 kW? I don't know, and we probably won't 
see a filing from them for a while yet, but however much power it is, it 
will ALL be aimed right at Don, and will be a very rare catch for the 
rest of us, wherever we may be!
