I don't know what to tell you. You sound like one of those people who
perceives everything as a conspiracy. I don't think there's a need for a
government mandate for CFLs, but I also don't think that it's a myth that
they reduce energy usage, based on personal experience. I've replaced most
of my home's incandescent bulbs with CFLs, and my electric bill has gone
down significantly. So unless Kansas City Power & Light is conspiring with
CFL manufacturers to reduce my electric bill and thus make me believe CFLs
are good thing, then CFLs really do reduce energy usage.

Tim, the whole idea is nothing more than class A1, gold platted, Bull S&%#.
Just another form of mass control, that is to control the mass of
population. Just pure crap!!!!
But it will forced on to me no matter if I want it or not, by those who have
a steady diet of "smart pills."
Now, why don't we all go back to our radio's and DX while we still can???
