Patrick and Bill,

KJTT verie sign, Dave Bowden: went to church with him (Mormon/LDS). Station
started about 1985. Much opposition to proposed tower down south of Oak Harbor.
I cannot remember who consulting engineer was, but he was one of the best
prepared
engineers I've know. Put his own station on 1480. Mountain Lake (Washington),
I think.

A bit of irony:

When KISD went on the air, a 69-kV subtransmission line and a underbuilt
12.5-kV
distribution line.ran along the road in front of the transmitter site.

The ground wires on the poles phased with KISD's tower to put a null right up
through Oak Harbor! I could hear KBND-1110 Bend (Oregon) clearly underneath
KISD up in the wildlife reserve of Ault Field Naval Air Station, north of Oak
Harbor!
