Re: [IRCA] Cuban jammer on 1550, very strong.

1550 whooping it up here days, of late, previously nites only. Power-up is
don fido's witty riposte to yesterday's Fecalith ruling?

As teen, ca. '71, the smart move was to spool up 383 Chrysler Wagon w/ 4-bbl
& 'special cam', pick up fellow degenerates, spastics, illiterates, &
psychotics, and careen thru college haunts, tour South Providence in search of Night
Train, exchange jibes w/lively residents, then off for late nite spook-a-thon
about Bristol NIKE, 'PRO, 'JAR, 'ICE & TV transmitter sites. Tune in WOWO or
WBT for Long-Distance Run Around. Yes.

Sometimes, in contemplative mood, grab close friend for gentlehearted Oil
Burner run to Newport >110 mph. Roads empty. Frigid winters' eve, see nary a
headlight. Rock n Roll wears thin? Tune WQXR, drink in Vaughan William's 'Lark
Ascending' at terminal velocity, slam throttles wide open, hold there for
duration. Fun!

383 as w/440, fuel consumption varied little w/speed. Consistent manic
hi-speed driving develops swift reflexes, & helps one to visualise swifter & untidy
consequences. On blustery clear nights, illuminated by diamond studded sky,
windows dropped, drank in sub-Kelvinate air's invigorating elixir. AM radio
filled car, countryside, & hearts w/pleasures ethereal.

Alas, something was missing. What? What would have made these little jaunts
not merely exquisitely pleasureable, but divinely sublime? 1550 Whooper.

1550 Whoops up Providence, you say? Mind boggling. As in, you hear whooping
not at RI State Police HQ, Chopmist HIll? Behind the ATLAS Terminal down by
the docks? In Victorian, Greek Revival & Georgian brick manses salted throughout
Providence 's fashionalble East Side?

Ming boggling. Bravo, don fido.
