Re: [IRCA] More IBOC

Colin,

Oh I think it will. IBOC will be short-lived. But we may have to put up
with it for a time. As far as long distance reception, stations like KGO
have listeners around the world on the internet. Coast to Coast, Air
America, and other nets are also on the internet. Unfortunately I live
in an area with slow dial up, so listening to radio on the internet is
really not an option to me. At least at this time. I do have lots of
satellite radio with my big dish, but unfortunately KGO is not one of
them.
But KGO's signal is so strong that it would over power any IBOC hash at
night and KGO was testing IBOC, but they have that hissing in their
signal that is rough to listen to. But long distance reception is still
going to be a reality, if not on AM, on satellite, the internet, etc.
