Always happy to help...and an extra free tip: oftentimes, simply 
googling for "WXXX chief engineer" will pull up the name. (In the case 
of WRKO, it happens to pull up my Tower Site of the Week page for the 
station, which mentions John's name!)

In any event, it's one tool that can help to decipher that scrawled V/S 
name...
