Good conditions this morning.  Japan, China, Thailand, Korea and Russia on long-wave.  Upper band ruled here, noticed the band came alive around 1432 ut.  Heard many level 5 & 6 carriers above 1017 kHz.  Hearing Japanese on 1386 kHz, tuned 774 & 828 to do a // check of NHK 2, no audio on the powerhouse stations.  Time was 1458 ut. It's now 1535 ut and HLAZ 1566 is just a level 3 carrier.  Listened from 1417-1535- ut


153      Russia,  Radio Rossii music.  Level 7 signal.

774      Japan, JOUB good signal at 1417 ut with man in English.

1053    Korea?  music heard at 1444 ut with no jammer present.  

1062    China, man in Chinese? at 1446 ut.  Weak signal.

1134    Unknown, Asian music at 1447 ut.  Music not // 4460 China
            CNR1.  

1206    China, F/S Asian language at 1435, fade up to S-9 +10db.

1215    unknown, music at 1451 ut at weak level.

1242    Japan, JOLF woman talking along with piano mx at 1452 ut  level
            7 signal.  

1278    Japan, JOFR with music and female talk.  Fair signal at 1453 ut

1314    JOUF  Japan, 1512 ut woman in Japanese and music.  

1377    China, music // 4460 at 1455 ut with S-9 +10 db signal at times.

1386    Japan, 3 pips and tone at 1500 ut, then into Japanese talk.  Lower
            // NHK2 stations under audio level at 1500 ut.

1404    Japan, weak Japanese heard at 1508 ut.

1413    Japan, JOIF 1509 ut with man in Japanese.  Weak signal.

1422    Japan, JORF at 1502 ut with classical mx and S-9 signal.

1503    Japan, JOUK at 1503 with man in Japanese and fair signal.

1566   Republic of Korea, HLAZ Asian language at 1441 ut fair. S-9
           +10 db signal at 1503 ut.

1575   Thailand, VOA heard in Asian language at 1506 ut with weak
            signal.

1593   China, "Asian Play " at 1504 ut with S-9 signal.
